Mach-23

Mach-23 is a UKSED's competition that provides university rocketry teams with the opportunity to develop hands-on mechanical and electronics skills with remote industry technical support, and the chance to get a glimpse at careers within the space sector. Mach-23 includes skills workshops supported by national space companies, and the rocket-based aspect of the competition allows teams to design, build and launch a rocket and CanSat (a simulation of a real satellite with the volume and shape of a can).

GUR's team for Mach-23 will be made up of members of our Junior Development Programme, who will design and build the rocket entered in the 1.5km category of the competition, and will launch it from Machrihanish Airbase in Argyll.
