WHAT WE DO
Education is at the heart of our society as we focus on the learning and development of our members. We're always encouraging our team to be engaged in STEM through the excitement of student rocketry.
It doesn't stop at our members - as our society grows, so does our approach and ambition to educational outreach.
INSPIRING YOUNG PEOPLE
In the 2022/23 academic year, we visited over 120 primary and secondary school pupils in and around the Glasgow area. Within these, we hosted a variety of engaging activities and classes to inspire and excite school pupils about STEM subjects and higher education.
The enthusiasm we receive from pupils and teachers alike further drives us to engage with our school outreach efforts.
WHAT WE OFFER
In our past events, we've covered a wide range of activities and classes for an equally broad range of school pupils. Some of these include designing and flying bottle rockets in primary schools, and beginner rocket-based coding workshops for secondary school pupils.
We're also currently developing classes for senior-year students, with a focus on preparing young people for careers or starting higher education after finishing school.
Are you interested in our team visiting your school to host one of our events or classes? We can also visit schools outside of Glasgow, get in touch for more information!
Our previous lessons have received numerous positive comments from both teachers as well as pupils, and we're very proud to have worked with so many schools.
We're very flexible with what we can offer and are always trying to expand our outreach to inspire as many young people as possible. If you have ideas for an event/workshop you'd like us to host, please let us know!
